Which colour you should be using to suit the conditions
The biggest factor affecting how fish behave is the weather and because the weather is constantly changing, you must change your approach to keep in line with the fish's feeding mood, to keep catching fish.

One day, the sky is blue, the next it is overcast, the next day the wind is blowing and the water is roiled up and dirty, the next day the water is clear. Predators are primarily sight feeders and attack these baits based on how they look. Therefore, you want to make sure that the fish can see the baits clearly, in order to hit them.

Bear in mind that the fish are looking up and seeing these baits silhouetted against the sky. Therefore, a colour which works on a blue sky day may be all but useless when the sky is overcast and white. By following our simple guidelines below, you will ensure that you catch more fish, whatever the conditions.

The best way to get bitten consistently, in clear water or waters that receive a lot of fishing pressure, is to try to match the colour of the forage that the fish are eating. this is why we have so many natural colours.

Pearl White

Black gives the best contrast against an overcast sky or at night, when the surface is illuminated by moonlight.

Bubblegum

Shad

Charcoal/gray back with a silver belly, for fishattracting flash.

Golden Shiner     
  *Optional with System

Tan back with black glitter and silver belly.  Produces under almost any conditions, anywhere, especially in clear or pressured water.

Emerald Shiner   
  *Optional with System

Iridescent green back with a gold belly. Closely resembles a Perch. 

Produces under almost any conditions, anywhere, especially in clear or pressured water.

Chub

Dark brown back with copper flake. Pearl white belly with silver flake for lots of flash as it works through the water.

Chartreuse

Chartreuse with a little red and black flake. Works great in low visibility conditions.
 

Sucker

Medium brown back with a little copper flake.  Pearl white belly with a little copper and gold flake to give subtle flash.

Smelt

Royal Blue back with a little black glitter. The belly is silver with iridescent luster and lots of silver flake to create lots of flash in the water.
 

Red Devil

Use Red Devil around green weeds especially when the water is calm. Red is a great contrast against the green of the weeds and so the fish can clearly pick the bait out from its surroundings. When the water is calm, the surface acts like a mirror and so the fish can see the weeds reflected against the underside of the water's surface, again this makes red very visible and biteable! Another plus, is the angler can also easily see the red back against the green weeds, as the bait works its way through the water.
